Karly specializes in a manual therapy approach to restoring function, alignment, breath, and automatic core strength into the bodies of her clients.
Sessions are 1:1, 55 minute long, and after the initial assessment, you can choose between a manual therapy session geared to calm the nervous system, relax the body, and restore re-algnment; a manual session on the Pilates equipment, where you are guided through a Pilates session, with manual facilitation of form/posture, and techniques that will help you optimize proper muscle activation/inhibition, or a manual session geared to educate you on how you can best optimize your posture, function, and strength in your day to day lives.

Karly is a licensed physical therapist and has been teaching Pilates since 2005. Karly completed her mat and apparatus comprehensive certification from the Professional Health and Fitness Institute, a contemporary teaching method in 2005, and pursued an additional comprehensive certification through Power Pilates, a classical teaching method in 2015. Karly is a Nationally Certified Pilates Instructor (NCPT) and maintains an active Pilates Method Alliance membership. In 2019, Karly pursued a Tai Chi Instructor certification through the the Tai Chi for Health Institute and is certified to teach Dr. Lam’s Tai Chi for Health and Wellness and Tai Chi for Rehab programs.

During COVID-19 pandemic, when Free Movement Pilates was shutdown for 4 months, Karly took the opportunity to brand her teaching approach to Pilates, and Restorative Pilates was born. Restorative Pilates blends Pilates inspired exercises from both her contemporary and classical teaching methods with mobility and stability exercises inspired by her advanced physical therapy training by restoring modern day biomechanics, automatic core efficiency, and fundamental movement patterns back into the body.

Karly, a Bethlehem Central graduate, hopes to encourage all people, of EVERY body type with chronic pain or fear of exercise and/or Pilates to come out of the woodwork, and allow themselves to benefit from transforming their bodies with Pilates. Once an active member of the triathlon community, triathlons have been put on hold while she focuses on raising her 2 daughters, Mia (3) and Olivia (6) with her husband, Marc.
